I am working on a graduate diploma in education technology. Each course requires some interesting products from me. This is where I am going to be keeping some of my course work, particularly assignments that require me to create something. See below for my blog. Also see https://www.cbu.ca/
Although I am officially retired from one career, being retired to a life of majestic idleness is not quite right for me at this point in my life.
These days, I lecture a bit at the university. I drive the ice resurfacing equipment at the other university. I take casual work assignments that break the boredom of the above referenced majestic idleness...
I used to sail in the Canadian Coast Guard. Perhaps you will indulge me and watch this short promo for a better idea of what the Coast Guard does for Canadians... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdsWxgd0c9gr
I ride my motorcycles in the summer. I enjoy the company of my dog all year round. I have been a competitive sportsman most of my life. I umpire softball. I only recently gave up hockey refereeing.
For a video (YouTube) of one of my hobbies, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFhX88CqbDQ
BMW motorcycles. Spilt green pea soup. Boston cream pie. Strubb's dill pickles. Baking bread. Anything designed by John Browning.
For the course EDUC 5151 "Digital Citizenship In a Global Community" I need to create a blog. Here is me doing that..
I am occasionally available for short term contract work that engages my strengths and peeks my interest.
For instance, I drive the ice Zamboni and Olympia brand resurfacing machinery at the University of Ottawa as a casual employee. I also do a bit of consulting and teaching in the field of project management. And I have been known to work for the circus when it comes to town (Cirque de Soleil).

The birthday of the modern Canadian Coast Guard is 26 January (1962). The previous formative event was in 1936 when several functions (aids to navigation, lighthouses, icebreaking and canals and waterways among others) were merged into the then new Department of Transport. Prior to that, May 4, 1910 could be considered to be a nascent event when the Naval Service of Canada was hived off from the former Marine Service of the Department of Marine and Fisheries of the Canadian Government. In 1879, the Department of Railways and Canals was created by rearranging some government responsibilities. Prior to that point we would have to find the creation dates of former Provincial Marine Services. In Upper Canada, a coastal force was created sometime during the Seven Years War between 1756 and 1763. Nova Scotia has Provincial Marine Service created in the 1750's. The Compagnie Ordinaire de la Mer, a predecessor of the La Compagnie Franche de la Marine, protected Quebec from 1622 until 1763 when the last French territory was ceded to England.

I recently took the MHFA course with Federal District. My notes are in a file at the bottom of this page.
It has been said that one rarely finds a motorcycle parked in front of a psychologist's office... and if you don't ride, you are unlikely to see the humour in this statement. However, there are lots of reasons to check our attitude and see if maybe just maybe we ought to take a second look at how we ride...
This is a worthwhile article aimed at veterans like me... http://www.jaxworx.com/what-kills-us/
