Accompany a real ambulance crew, drive a bit, play with the lights and siren, maybe even ride the stretcher!
I would be happy to set up the “Ultimate Ambulance Experience” for you. You will be given a walk around and through a working ambulance. You will be shown where everything is stored. You will see everything being operated by a trained paramedic. You will sit in the right front seat where the attendant normally sits (for this experience, the attendant will sit in the jump seat in the back). You will be shown where all the controls are (siren, lights, etc). Your driver will take you to a somewhat out of the way location and you will switch places with the driver. You will be permitted to run lights and siren at posted road speeds, if there is no other traffic. You may be lucky and be allowed to drive on a military base away in a safe but isolated area. After this, you will get to ride in the jump seat in the back with the attendant. If you would like, you can be driven around, strapped in the stretcher. You will finish by driving (no lights or siren) back to our office where you will have your photograph taken with the ambulance and the crew. You will be provided with a “hero shot” photo pack with you driving, sitting in the jump seat, standing in the rear door leaning out slightly (really cool pose) and lighting a stretcher into the ambulance with a simulated patient (a real person but in no need of medical care). We strive to satisfy every participant and we will adjust the “Ultimate Ambulance Experience” to suit your schedule or preferences, to the best of our ability. Contact me for further details. Please have your credit card and schedule handy - you will need both.
We will work with your property folks or fleet management team to customize the unit with your graphics and/or stock the module with needed medical equipment.
Our ambulance rentals are maintained and inspected to meet or exceed the commercial vehicle requirements for the province of Ontario. And by virtue of that, they meet the requirements in all ten provinces and 49 states.
